| BIOGRAPHY |
| Dennis's childhood obsession with photography eclipsed the pursuit of post graduate science degrees at university. Now a 20-year Corbis photographer, supplying images to commercial and editorial clients throughout the world, he is technically exacting yet minimalist in approach, and an open minded collaborator. "If you look too hard it won't come, but somewhere between appreciative instinct and the real - which photography accesses as no other art can - you can capture something truly authentic. I am not the guy arranging elements (fixing it) on a computer. What I like about photography is its truth and immediacy, its power to see what is really there. I like what is naturally vivid, sensitivity we can see but touch only with the camera lense, and then have,in all its precise detail, larger than life." "Even when we are creating sets and directing talent, I like the challenge of finding a sweet spot with simple components. Just knowing what to appreciate, what to key on, can let us walk away with a great image, and sometimes something startling and engaging." |
